The Blue Series

Here's a preview of The Blue Series, a small but special collection featuring a few of my favourite handmade bags and pouches.

 

When I create bags, I usually work in one of two ways: either I have a specific bag style in mind and search for fabrics that fit the design, or I let the fabric dictate what it wants to become.  This collection was all about the second method - tinkering with fabric remnants to create patchwork designs and then transforming them into unique bags. 

Each piece is a little different in size and shape, but they all share one common theme - blue, my favourite colour. 

Made from indigo-dyed cotton, denim, and linen, these drawstring bags are embellished with hand-stitched details. They are ideal for carrying small knitting projects or organizing small essentials on your travels. 

Featuring screen-printed fabric combined with vintage remnants and indigo-dyed linen, each bag is unique and versatile, and it's the perfect size to tuck into your purse as a makeup bag, or if you're a maker, use it as a handy notions pouch.

It's always hard to part with pieces that have been so fun to create, but I'm excited for them to find new homes where they can be used and loved!
